Em 1937, durante a Guerra Civil espanhola, tropas republicanas invadem um espetáculo de circo. Muitos anos depois, já no fim do franquismo, dois palhaços lutam pelo amor de uma trapezista.
In 1937, during the Spanish Civil War, the republican forces invade a circus show. Many years later, at the end of the Franco regime, two clowns fight for the love of a trapeze artist.
